Seeseiten Gasthof - Cafe in Seeshaupt

Interesting neighborhood, beautiful view of Lake Starnberger, picturesque buildings, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed by Lokdaun and Coronavirus.

In his review, R. Bergmann was obviously really at the Ammersee and not like the café and inn Seeseiten at the Starnberger See, because the food and the service are great there. On a bike tour around Lake Starnberg I always take my lunch break there and enjoy the unobstructed view over meadows and reeds in the beer garden under the chestnut trees of Lake Starnberg with the main lake and the Alps.

I stopped by here while I was doing my cycling-training, to eat sth for refuelling. Their apple pie is crazy delicious, is strongly recommended👍

Good cake, but juicy prices. Capricious, unmotivated staff. You sit nicely with a view of Lake Starnberg.

Food was just awesome. Never before eaten such delicious cheese spatzle and spinach dumplings. Unfortunately, because of the constant door open to us, the waitress, who brings the dishes from the living room across the hall to the kitchen, kept the cold one in. Thus a very drafty and cold ambience.

Beware, rip off at the swimming area! Somehow it belongs to the inn, that's why the recession at this point. As a family of four with a car and surfboards or SUPs, you can leave 25 euros and more here. Only for parking fee and entry. Well there is a toilet. But that's about it. Otherwise there is a jetty, a meadow and the access to the lake. On top of that, there is the rudeness of the cashing lady and her dubious arithmetic skills (incorrectly added up - in her favor, of course). Everything without a receipt - even on request there is no ... So, our tip: absolutely avoid it. There are much nicer bathing spots all over the lake, e.g. right next door, a little north in Bernrieder Park.

Good location, great view over the Ammersee. Service was good, food was good, unfortunately it was not served hot as the garden restaurant was very full and was served too quickly. Spinach dumplings were pre-cooked and only warmed up. After the complaint, these would then be made hot again.

Inn with a beautiful beer garden. Great view over the lake to Seeshaupt and the mountains. Enjoy your meal. Delicious cakes. Unfortunately, the restaurant closes very early in the evening.

Beautiful location at the southern tip of Lake Starnberg. Food was great. Recommended to come early or make a reservation - it fills up quickly
